AustralianSuper investment returns are based on crediting rates. For super (accumulation) products, crediting rates are investment returns less investment fees and costs, transaction costs, the percentage-based administration fee that is deducted from returns and taxes. Returns from equivalent options of the ARF and STA super funds are used for periods before 1 July 2006. Returns don't include all administration and other fees and costs that are deducted from account balances. Prior to 1 July 2018, the CPI benchmarks were calculated as an annual rate (annualised for periods of more than 1 year) plus the amount above CPI specified in the investment objective for the option. From 1 July 2018, the CPI benchmarks are calculated so that the compounded daily returns equal the annual CPI plus the amount above CPI specified in the investment objective for the option on 30 June each year.
