A Target Market Determination (TMD) describes the target market for a financial product and relevant conditions in relation to the distribution of the product to consumers. It also includes the events or circumstances where we may need to review our products and the TMD.
Target Market Determinations are a requirement of the Treasury Laws Amendment (Design and Distribution Obligations and Product Intervention Powers) Act 2019.
Advice licensees and financial advisers can learn more about design and distribution obligations (DDO), including reporting requirements here.
