Keeping employee records up-to-date

6 August 2024

The Business Portal now makes it easier for employers, as well as accountants or bookkeepers who manage employee records, to remove staff who are no longer working for a business.

The employment status of staff may change quickly, especially for seasonal or high-turnover businesses.

We’ve recently added a new feature to the AustralianSuper Business Portal, that helps keep your employees' or clients’ employment termination records up-to-date.

You can now make a simple entry to include termination date details.

This not only helps to ensure employee records remain current, but also avoids the need to add the termination date into separate clearing house files, regardless of the fund an employee is with.

Update details in 3 easy steps

Adding a termination date for an employee can be done in the Business Portal in 3 easy steps:

  1. Search for the employee in the portal.
  2. Select their reason for leaving.
  3. Update their last day of employment.

Once you've set the termination date details, you’ll still be able to make changes until the employee's final day of employment.

After their final day, their records will automatically be removed from your client’s business profile.

This is just one of the features of the Business Portal designed to make your super admin easier.
