What is Member Direct?

Member Direct is a self-managed investment option. Your clients can invest in shares, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Listed Investment Companies (LICs), term deposits and cash – all from an easy-to-use online platform.

Share purchase plans

When managing your client’s account, you can participate in a share purchase plan offered on an existing security within their portfolio.

It can be a great way to purchase additional stock at a discounted rate.

How to apply

If Member Direct is the right option for your client, here’s how to get started.

First, make sure your client is an AustralianSuper member with online access to their account.

Transfer cash to invest

Ask your client to log in to their account and find the ‘Member Direct’ tile. To start investing in the Member Direct investment option, they’ll need to register and transfer a minimum amount2 into their Cash account. It will take two business days before the transfer will be reflected in your client’s Member Direct account.

Log in to Member Direct

Your client will be invited to join the Member Direct online platform. It’s a separate portal where they can access their investment details and make transactions. They can log in to make transactions via the UBS share trading facility.

Give you access

Ask your client to complete the form Give access to your Member Direct account - link to forms below. If they want to grant you access to transact on their behalf they will need to select ‘read and transact’. Then, email the completed form to adviserservices@australiansuper.com
